"Erinnerungen" seems to be the same recording, slightly remixed to compensate for the missing vocals. It's nice to listen to, but frankly, without Melanie Mau's haunting lyrics about desperation, suicide, and the emptyness that remains, the song loses a crucial component. On the other hand, the additional string arrangement on "Treasured Memories" provides the song with an exquisite and majestic quality. Favorite track: Treasured Memories (Orchestral Version feat. Eric & Nathan Brenton).

The album takes off nicely with David Longdon's "The Strangest Times", but then gets into immediate free fall and deeply underwater for the next few tracks, quite unexpectedly. Fortunately, it recovers with Nick D'Virgilio's "Apollo" (hey, this guy CAN write good music, although he hides this ability most of the time) and the remaining three tracks, one of which is another Longdon masterpiece. This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all. After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass. PartTimeZombie

It seems Phideaux is channeling the Beatles or Bowie in A Curse of Miracles. Kiteman reminds me of Al Stewart. The melodic pop/rock sensibilities Phideaux has make this very accessible & pleasant to listen to. The seemingly spontaneous subject matter of the lyrics is refreshingly creative and interesting. Wonderful diversity in song structures capture a wide ambient spectrum. I consider this a gem in my collection. Picking a fave is rather difficult here. Thx, Phideaux! 8.5/10. Alrihkh

"Moon Safari" is back with a full-length studio album after more than 10 years - not counting the interesting collaboration in 2016 with Steve Nardelli and his band "The Syn". It's the long-awaited second part of "Himlabacken", and it's in the same vein, to my delight. Once again, incredible melody arcs and lush vocal harmonies in abundance!
